Ricardo Gaspar and Helena Schmitt are Brazilian architects and furniture designers whose passion for craftsmanship and nature-inspired design brought them together. Ricardo, deeply influenced by his upbringing in his grandfather’s woodworking shop and his artisan mother, believes in the transformative power of design. Helena, having grown up surrounded by furniture production, has always been driven by creativity and a deep appreciation for nature’s everyday wonders.
Together, they combined their expertise to create the Landruá Armchair, a piece that pays tribute to Brazil’s artisanal fishing communities. Blending organic inspiration with contemporary craftsmanship, their design reflects tradition, sustainability, and a refined aesthetic that bridges past and future.
