Bete Said: A Designer Blending Heritage and Innovation
Bete Said, a Brazilian designer from the countryside of São Paulo, has built a dynamic career that bridges interior design and scenography for major advertising campaigns. With years of experience creating visual narratives for leading footwear brands in Franca, she has always expressed her restless creativity in both interior design and the world of visual storytelling.
A long-held dream of specializing in furniture design became a reality in 2023 when she participated in the Design Tank immersion program, where she won the edition with her groundbreaking Ojo technological mirror. This debut piece was showcased at Casa Cor Ribeirão Preto 2023, marking her entry into the world of product design. Following this success, she competed in several design contests, becoming a finalist or semi-finalist in most of them.
In 2024, she took a bold step forward by launching her first exclusive collection at Casa Cor Ribeirão Preto, designing for the event’s official bar, Ilê Omi. Her Nagô Collection is a tribute to her Afro-Brazilian heritage, inspired by the resilience and strength of her female ancestors who sacrificed personal dreams for their families.
Deeply rooted in craftsmanship, traditions, and ancestral knowledge, the Nagô Collection celebrates the rich legacy passed down through generations, honoring the artistry and cultural wealth of the Nagô people. Through her designs, Bete Said not only redefines furniture but also tells stories of identity, heritage, and empowerment.
