Futuro Ancestral Suspension Lamp

The Ancestral Future collection is born from an altruistic thought: the desire to make design echo tradition. Pieces that are manifestations of a time that insists on remaining alive.

The starting point is the manual gesture, the knowledge transmitted from generation to generation by the Arapiuns community, in Pará, where weaving is part of the human and natural landscape. There, the fiber extracted from tucumã palm takes shape through hands that know it deeply, revealing a way of doing that carries rhythm, patience, and memory.

The piece proposes an encounter between the artisanal and the contemporary.

Tucumã fiber is used in the pieces of the Ancestral Future collection because it is resistant, natural, and part of Amazonian traditions. The weaving brings the texture and identity of the forest, connecting the design of the pieces with knowledge that comes from riverside communities. The core is made of fragments of translucent stone reused from marble shops.

Ancestral Future stems from this encounter between times and languages: modernism as a root and futurism as an expansion, both mediated by the skill of crafting.
