Paulo Goldstein

Paulo Goldstein was born in São Paulo in 1980 and graduated in Fine Arts from FAAP in 2003. In 2006, he moved to the United Kingdom, where he worked as a sculptor and model maker in “Stop-Motion” animation projects, including “Fantastic Mr. Fox” and “Frankenweenie.”

In 2012, he completed a Master’s in Industrial Design at Central Saint Martins, developing the “Repair is Beautiful” project and, in 2013, the “Scarcity Project.” His works have been exhibited in renowned shows such as “COLLECT 2013” at the Saatchi Gallery and “What is Luxury” at the Victoria & Albert Museum.

Known for his conceptual design, Paulo has evolved his discourse on repairing and reinterpreting found objects, focusing on form. His current research explores the ongoing creative process and the transformation of norms and functions through the enchantment with objects, where the final result is as important as the creative exercise itself.
