The power of life and the constant pursuit of artistic freedom fuel the textile artist and designer Alex Rocca. With strong inspiration from cinematography, modernist architecture, and landscaping, he develops his art in a solitary, contemplative, and meditative manner.

Amidst a rich poetics with abundant meanings, the designer crafts unique tapestries by hand using natural raw materials, yarns, and fibers such as wool and sisal. The entire creative process, from inspiration, drawing, and conceptual evolution, is the result of his life experience and background in cinema, scenography, and interior design.

Sensory and three-dimensional, his pieces captivate the eye with the aesthetic balance of forms and patterns and stimulate touch through different volumes and textures. Alex proposes pure authorial design by freely exploring colors, play of lights and shadows, empty and full spaces, organic elements, and geometric lines.
